May 14, 2002 - 7:47 p.m. Several reasons for my failure to deliver you a proper entry today….. 1. Codeman’s team played baseball tonight: Of course, Codeman didn’t play. Nothing new there. The sophomore that the coach (in a newspaper article last we described thusly, ”We just love what the little guy brings to our team. He is a sparkplug, and he brings the energy level up for the whole team!”) keeps throwing out there went 0-3, leaving runners stranded twice. He also dropped a routine fly ball in left. Yeah, he deserves playing time over my son, and all the other varsity players who used to play his position. Mac won 3-1. Like I care anymore……. 2. Today is Lease and my 22nd wedding anniversary: I think that one is self-explanatory. Time is a'wasting.... 3. I just haven’t had anything interesting enough to write about happen to me today: Yeah, I answered the phone, stocked some shelves, paid some bills, zzzzz,zzzzzzzzzz, and zzzzzzzzzzzzzz. Not worth writing about, if you ask me. I will stop whining now….. One quickie…… Today, about 1 pm, I had just finished restocking the nuts and bolts bins (see, I told you my job was exciting!), and was in the wash bay, washing the dirt off of my hands. I heard Beavis talking to Rabbit in the next bay. Beavis was asking if he had seen me, and Rabbit replied, ”Yeah, I think he is still down in the garden”. He was joking, but Beavis has never been one to understand sarcasm. He was walking at an Olympic pace, bee-lining for the garden when I called from the sink.” Sorry, I’m not down there. I am just washing some grease off my hands”. Man, was he disappointed. He has always told me that he better not catch me down in the garden during work hours. He hasn’t yet………………
