Saturday, Apr. 05, 2003 - 10:23 p.m. Lease and I just finished watching �Undercover Brother�. Very funny movie. Pokes fun at about everyone, including the �conspiracy theory brother� and the �white she-devil�. Undercover Brother only drinks orange soda, and can�t eat mayonnaise. If you like the Austin Powers series, you will love this movie. I liked it, anyway�. Photogra messed up on printing several of my wedding photos form 2 week ago. They slipped a small piece of paper into the envelope, explaining that �Original Image Crop/Fit/Aspect Ratio Error� caused some of my photos to turn out this way. This way would be with people�s heads chopped off! Fuck that! All they had to do is keep the ratio they way I cut them, and leave a little white along the east and west borders. That is what a good photo lab would do, anyway. I am so mad, I could spit nails! I had to send an email to the wedding party, asking them to not order any pictures from Photogra until I can get this straightened out. I just hope they didn�t place an order of 50 copies of one of these files before I worte them tonight�.. Here is a before and after view of their mess-up: Before:

Gee�no reason to get pissed off, eh? Enough bitchin�. Time for another boring baseball update. Codeman�s team lost their first game today against Douglas. He didn�t play, and nor did most of the people on the field for Mac. They lost 6-3, but all but one of the runs were unearned (again). Super sophomore #3 dropped two fly balls in a row in right field (Codeman�s usual position) in the second inning , causing 3 unearned runs to score. The other three runs scored in the 6th inning after the center fielder (super sophomore #2) dropped a routine fly ball to center field. The only reason why one of the runs was earned was because the base runner scored from third with less than 2 outs when the error happened. Because another hit happened later in the inning, that made his run earned. Codeman kept the scoreboard in game 1. He also kept warm (high temperature of 39� today! Yeah! Football weather!) in the dugout, with his letterman�s jacket on and his hoodie sweatshirt pulled up over his head. Game two was against the cross-town team. They are about the worst high school team I have ever seen play against Mac. Bad. Really bad. Codeman started this game on the bench, too. That was wrong, because every other player on the ball team started and played in at least one game The coach even started super sophomore #3 again in right field, after pulling him in game 1 after his errors. Same bullshit, different day. With Mac safely ahead 6-1 in the 4th inning, the coach finally put Codeman into the game. He played left field for the 4th and 5th innings, and was even able to get one at bat. He made the most of it. With the bases loaded and the score still at 6-1, Codeman took the first two pitches for called balls. This is his swing on pitch #3:
And this is Codeman on second base, after he hit the ball over the head of his old pal Jeremy, playing in left field for the other squad. The hit cleared the bases, making the score 9-1:

He ended up scoring on the next play, and his team went on to 10-run rule the cross-town 9. So their record is now 2-1-1. Will he get more playing time, after coming through today? I doubt it. The coach won�t want to admit his prize sophomores aren�t ready until they cost the team a few more losses. Until then? Codeman has to make the most of his chances when he gets in the game.
