Friday, Aug. 20, 2004 - 10:34 p.m. Very tired. Made 26 pints of salsa today (hot- 22 sealed. The other 4 pints just put into canning jars to be handed out). Also made 7 pints of pickled beets with onions. Burned another 4 hours of P.B. to do this. Used to use that time to watch Codeman play baseball for his high school team. Didn�t need to do that this spring, so I had the time to- well, burn. Also made a big pot of jambalaya for Jay-rod, Jules, Lease and myself (Codeman and the Lovely Chelsea ordered a pizza from Pizza Hut- go figure). Made a pair of French bread loaves (honey for the sweetener) too. I spent about 10 minutes goofing off from 10:30 am until dinner was served at 6:30. Not really �time off�, don�t you think? Just one quick photo � my grand nephew Kaden, at week 7:
Yes, he was smiling. Lease brought that out of him. Take enough photographs you end up with a few good ones, right? Hall and Oates, Michael McDonald, and the Average White Band tomorrow night. That, after a day looking at huge melons and cattle with Lease. Sounds like a great weekend to me�..
