Crush Down - "Like This" (2000 - MCA Records)...great hard rock, with a little thinking behind the lyrics

Saturday, Sept. 11, 2004 - 4:57 p.m.

An early bedtime, and then we are off

Codeman has assured us he can make it, broken ankle/torn ligament and all, without our canceling our trip and sticking around.

So

We wont have to eat the cost of the pre-paid 3 days at the cabin we reserved in the Smokie Mountains.

LONG drive ahead of me. Mapquest says it will take X number of hours. When you add in how often we stop (neither of us like long stretches in a car), that means the trip is X+ 2 or 3 hours.

This place (like most in Gatlinburg) operates out of a mall-front office. You have to be physically in their office by 6pm, or make arrangements to have your key left in their lockbox outside.

I dont think this is the lockbox Al Gore was so excited about during the last presidential election, even though he was from Tennessee

I left a message on their answering machine, requesting that they leave our key in said lockbox if we dont make it there by 6. But my goal is to make it there by the skin of our teeth.

So.

That means an early bedtime tonight (no later than 9 pm), and a 4 am alarm setting.

Take care while we are away.

I hope to have many photographs of the scenery to share with you, once we come home.
