A game that set many records...

I tried to make it to the end. Really, I did.

But when the game went past midnight (game three of the White Sox-Astros World series, incase you wondered "What game?"), I had to turn it of and try to sleep. The alarm clock was set for 5 hours later- too damn old to get that little sleep and still function properly the next day.

Couldn't sleep. Tossed and turned for about an hour.

Then I heard it. Codeman (who decided to give up his sleep) celebrating the improbbable home run by Geoff Blumm (who hadn't played in a game since mid-September) in the top of the 14th inning. The Sox tacked on one more run (on a couple of walks and bloop hits), and hung on to win the longest game in the 101 years of baseball's fall classic.

So they are now up 3-0, only needing 1 more win to finish this thing out.

Never though I would live to see a Chicago baseball team win a World Series (the last Sox win was 88 years ago, Cubs 97!).

It could happen tonight.

Hope Ozzie lets his players sleep in this morning.

They earned it...
