Rummage sale bargains....plus- the nephew mad eit home safely!

A couple of rummage sale buys from Saturday:

The plant stand set us back $5. The lady selling it said she paid over $60 for it a couple of years ago. That might be a little high, but since it matches a few other garden plant stand-things Lease had already purchased, it was a steal.

The three white planters with matching saucers were new (with stickers still on them from Menards). They set me back a whole quarter (.25 US).

We picked up the other pots at Menards (unfortunately, they were out of the granite colored ones. Once they flowers fill out, you won't notice the pots anyway). The flowers are a combination of plants Lease picked out at the greenhouse and bedding plants I had already started inside previously.

Even had the perfect spot for the stand. Lease has always said we should do something different with the area next to the garage.

Now we have....

Nephew J-Rod is safely home from Iraq.

We had him over for a family cookout Saturday night. He brought his girlfriend Jules (yes, she has the same name as his mom. Shes also a RN, like his mother. Hum.) and his son KADEN.

KADEN seems to have not missed a beat with his dad, playing with him like he never left to war. That is something I was worried about when he returned home. At such a young age, he might have forgotten him in that time span.

But that doesnt seem to be a problem at all.

They didnt stay long. He arrived at 6 pm, and left a little after 8.

I understood- he had only been back in the state since late Thursday. He plenty of things to catch up on, and those things wouldnt have been appropriate to catch up on in public.
