Sunday, Sept. 24, 2006 - 8:46 p.m. Turned 45 today. Don�t feel a day over 43. Lease went out of her way to make sure I had a happy b-day. A breakfast of pancakes and over-easy eggs. A gift of tons of my favorite dark chocolates and a mystery novel, and dinner at Red Lobster. Still- a birthday is really just another day on the calendar (once you leave your teenage years). But its also another day to live�. A distant relative ofDoctor Zoidberg?
He seems so defiant in the photos I took of him- crawfish are the tough guys of the freshwater crustacean species of our part of the world.... Bears are 3-0 after their come-from-behind victory in Minnesota today. Hard game to sit through today- over 160 yards in penalties between the two clubs, plus plenty of dropped balls and missed opportunities for each squad. Still- after 3 weeks, the good guys have beaten all three of their division foes, 2 on the road. Puts them in a pretty good spot, this early in the season. Next up- a Sunday night game (on national TV) against the Super Bowl runner-up, Seattle. After that one is over, I should have a pretty good idea of how good this team can be�.
