Would you buy milk from Amazon.com?...plus- photos from the ice storm of 2006 (as the local newspaper is calling it)

At least 866 people have too much time on their hands:just read a few of the "reviews" they posted for Tuscan Whole Milk, available from Gristedes Supermarkets of New York at Amazon.com

Some are pretty creative, I have to admit....

Photos from the ice storm that hit here in the overnight hours last Thursday /Friday:

It doesn't matter which street you drive on- there are scenes just like these on all of them. There are something like 7000 extra power company trucks trying to get everyone's power back on in the three states that were slammed by this storm. They said our town was the hardest hit of all the larger towns in this state. Something like 40% of all households are still without power.

The low this morning was 7. To add insult to injury, I guess.

The high isn't supposed to poke above freezing until late this week. Until then, the surreal landscape is still there, photo ops there for the taking.

maybe I'll take the camera with me tomorrow. Might have to drive around a bit and find something to shoot more than a block from my house (all of these images were taken on my street)....
