Entrance to Cave-In-Rock, Shawnee National Forest. Its said that river bandits used this natural formation on the Ohio River to hide from and ambush early settlers moving goods on the river. Sorta like pirates, without parrots and peg legs.
The view looking out of Cave-In-Rock, Shawnee National Forest, Southern Illinois USA. I have another photo of this view that has a story about it that I don't have time to write this morning (getting everything ready to go shoot Jim and Misty's wedding)- I'll try to get that one up later....
