Tuesday, Oct. 14, 2003 - 5:53 p.m. Ten times the original cost, but I dont mind (that much, anyway).plus- an hour until game 6 They arrived in the mail today. The box was as bad as described by the seller- the back end (hinged area) was almost completely rotten. Looks like it was wet a few times in somebodys garage, and mildew did its work. But the actual Jarts are almost mint. They have straight fins, and the metal tips are almost rust free. The box still had the original K-Mart price tag. I had to take a photo of it, so you could see what it sold for back in 1970-whatever: Sticker price= $ 4.88 On sale (Blue light special?) = $3.00. Sounds about right, for that day and age. I spent over $50, once shipping was included. Oh well. Check out the look on the girls face, ready to throw her Jart. She looks a little pissed off, dont you think? Probably because she knows the boy behind her is checking her butt out. At least thats what I interpreted it to be Here is another photo, showing the set: We received about 1 of rain last night. Sounds like this set will get its first use in decades this weekend Later. The Cubs/Marlins game starts in about an hour, so I need to finish throwing supper together. Unless you are from southern Florida, pull for my 95-years-without-a-world-championship team, k?
