Baby photos.

Our Nephew J-Rod stopped by last night with his son (our grand-nephew) Kayden.

Lease had the camera in my hands about 30 seconds after they walked in the door.

It is amazing how quickly Kayden is growing. He is not chunky, just solid. At the rate is growing he will be bigger than our grandniece Riley before Christmas. She is 2 years old; Kayden is only just past 6 months!

Big boy. Probably a football player down the road.

Anyway

Title of this shot? Oh no- theres that guy with the camera again. I will be blind before the night is over!

A couple more of J-Rod, playing with the boy:

Lease took this one. I guess that is why she able to catch him looking towards the camera.

Last one:

Since j-Rod doesnt live with the mother of his child (long story, and not for here) he only has Kayden a couple of days per week. I dont think he has had the baby for an overnight stay yet.

I mention this because J-Rod learned something new about raising a baby last night- colic.

As in- Why wont my boy stop crying?.

He changed the diaper, feed him a bottle, rocked him, walked with him, and even let him lay on a blanket, hoping something would cause Kayden to stop crying.

With colic, nothing seems to work. And if I remember Codeman at 6 months as well as I think I do, that was the point where he started having this problem.

After 45 minutes straight of full throttle bawling, Lease was finally able to calm him down enough for him to fall asleep.

Kayden, I mean. Not J-Rod.

He slept for about 30 minutes, and then woke up again right as J-Rod was getting him ready to go home. Yes, the crying started again.

I imagine Amber had a long night.

All of the Illini basketball teams real games are already sold out for the season. I say real, because all college powerhouses throw a few pushovers onto their schedules. They use them as glorified scrimmages. Work out a few kinks, try some new things.

In other words- the weaker teams show up for a ass whooping and a nice paycheck for the athletics department. They dont plan on winning.

As of Thursday night, the box office still had 500 or so crappy seats left for todays game against Florida A&M, a team so injury riddled it will only dress 7 players for the game.

So it should be a blowout.

Since this is the last game not to be televised, plus the Bears are about to get their jocks handed to them by Peyton Manning and the Colts, Codeman J-road and I are about to head down there, in hopes of snagging 3 of the remaining seats.

If they are sold out?

There are always the scalpers. Should be plenty of season ticket holders willing to get rid of their tickets for this game, and that is the route most of them use to do so.

But the resellers better not expect Indiana vs. Illinois prices for this game, or we will just turn around and head back home
