Does the Informant know?

Yeah, I know what you are thinking- just another night filled with crime and police in Roadiepig's neighborhood.

Um- wrong.

Look a little closer. There are huge power cables in the gutter to the right. The police cars sure look a little old, even for this state and the lack of funding for basic services due to our crooked governor. And why is there only one street light on, plus a few portable lights scattered around the frame?

No, this isn't just another typical crime scene in my neck of the woods. It is a actually a location set for the filming of a movie staring Matt Damon, based on a true story involving a major local employer here in Mohall.

Why is this photo posted here on my web page?

Because the location of this movie shoot was a grand total of 2 blocks directly north on MY FREAKIN' HOUSE! When the movie comes out and this scene plays on the screen, you can probably here Jay-Dog and Rex barking occasionally in the background!

That's right- Roadiepig has had a brush with a Hollywood production of a major motion picture. This specific shoot didn't involve any of the major stars of the picture- just action shots of old police cars pulling into various driveways in this block of beautiful old brick houses, with minor actors running from said vehicles towards the houses.

Lease asked me why they pulled into so many driveways, replaying the same scene over and over with different locations. Since this movie is being billed as "a black comedy", I can only come up with two ideas.One- the FBI agents can't figure out the right house, so they drive into every driveway and run towards each house. Two- they shoot each house the same way, and will decided which house is most photogenic when they do the final edits months from now.

Doesn't matter what the reason or if this set did just include bit actors- we were able to walk a couple of blocks from out home and watch a major motion picture be filmed.

Unless you live in either Los Angeles or Las Vegas, you probably can't say that happens to you everyday...
